Past Event Archive Page – By the shores of Darach, Caid Rapier Open will be held this year cooled by the ocean. Sharpen your swords (and wax them well!) and bring your best game on September 23rd. Unfortunately there will be no merchanting at this event. The fighting will commence at 11am after announcements at Valle Linde Park in Camarillo.

“Well, Rapier open is done, and the regalia is passed to Master Todd Jonathan Getty! It was an exciting final between Todd and Master Niko Phaistos, going all three fights.
I’d like to thank everyone who fought and everyone who helped – the fighting was exceptionally clean and people appeared to enjoy the day. Congratulations to Merlin for being the most Chivalrous fighter! As well, to Galen Crow for victory in the cut and thrust list.
Thank you’s go out to: Etain for gate, Albra Kathryn Wolters for gate and gifts, Richard for the signs and help, Kim for insurance, Aran Darkhelm for gifts and of course for schlepping everything we needed! Bruce Miller for his heraldic voice. Thanks to Tomisina for lists signup and a huge shout out to Cailfiend for saving my bacon with the lists when I forgot to ask her! Thanks to Their Majesties (Lorissa and Wilhelm) for Their support of the community – we truly appreciate it!
Fighting wouldn’t have been possible without all the dedicated marshals – Gerhart, Alexander , and everyone else I can’t recall, as well as Una for organizing real heraldic help for all the fields!
Finally, thanks to everyone who helped to breakdown, wrap the rope, put the posts away, gather in the signs and load up the “Bronco”. Help at the end of a long day is incredibly appreciated.
